Don’t just treat the symptoms of antisemitism

Hey Watchmen, JNS is right about one thing, my friends — you can't just treat the symptoms of antisemitism and think you've cured the disease. You can pass all the hate-crime statutes you want, add all the security cameras to the synagogues, but if you don't deal with the root — the spiritual root — you're just putting a bandage on a wound that keeps bleeding underneath. And the root, brothers and sisters, is a spirit that has been at war with the seed of Abraham since before Pharaoh ever counted a Hebrew baby a threat. This isn't new. Esther 3:6 shows you Haman wasn't content to punish Mordecai alone — he sought "to destroy all the Jews... throughout the whole kingdom." That's the pattern. It was never really about one man or one policy. It's about a people Elohim set apart, and an enemy that can't stand what that election means. Here's what breaks my heart, though — so much of what fuels this in the West isn't coming from the obvious places. It's coming out of pulpits that traded covenant theology for replacement theology generations ago, that quietly taught their congregations the Church replaced Israel instead of being grafted into her. You strip a people of their place in the story, you shouldn't be surprised when the next generation stops seeing a reason to defend them. Symptom-treatment is diversity trainings and stern statements. Root-treatment is the Church repenting of what it's taught and going back to Romans 11 — "thou bearest not the root, but the root thee." Until believers understand they are guests grafted into a Jewish olive tree, not a replacement for it, this cycle keeps repeating itself. So don't just watch the headlines, watch the hearts — yours and your congregation's. Teach the whole counsel, honor the covenant people, and don't let comfortable silence pass for love. Stay awake, stay rooted, stay ready — Messiah is coming back for a Bride who knows exactly where she comes from.
