US and Iran Threaten Return to War After Fiercest Exchange of Fire Since Truce

A truce that trembles and threatens to break is a picture Scripture knows well. Our Messiah warned of wars and rumors of wars, of nation rising against nation as the birth pangs of the age (Matthew 24:6-7) — and a ceasefire that cannot hold is exactly that kind of rumor, loud in our ears. Do not be moved by the swinging between peace and war, my friends. The prophets remind us that the counsel of the nations comes to nothing when it stands against the counsel of the Most High (Psalm 33:10-11). Man's truces are written in sand; the covenant of Elohim is written in blood that never fails. So watch the region, and let every threat of war drive you deeper into prayer, not panic.
